Winning debut at the Hadleigh Show for Morton Smith & Sands

Saturday 15th May 2010 saw a glorious spring day for the 171st Hadleigh Show in the picturesque setting of Holbeck’s Park and our first outing as an independent exhibitor at the event.

Geoffrey was given the task of project leading the event for us and in conjunction with event organisers Mary & Ken from Fabulous Functions in Battisford, they put in place a wonderfully presented and original stand.

Our distinctive and unique stand was created with two 6ft flags above twin Chinese hat marquees with inside hospitality area, a landscaped garden space with water feature and garden furniture all enclosed with picket fencing and a bespoke ornate trellis arched entrance with our branding above and around the site.

Whilst Lindsey, our new very capable part timer (ex. Strutt & Parker) manned the office, Lee, Simon and James were joined by Verity Sands at our stand.

We were overwhelmed by the response to our stand, which saw us entertain around a 1000 visitors over the day with the showcasing of our portfolio of client’s properties for sale, promotion of our business services, prize competitions giving away a luxury hamper and a lunch at Hintlesham Hall donated by Howard Gibbons, corporate themed cakes made by Verity and bar provided by Steve Laing of The Queens Head, Lower Layham.

We were honoured when the judges gave us third place in the prestigious award of best large trade stand, finishing a very busy but enjoyable day.

We would like to thank all of those people that supported and visited us at the Show and look forward to next year.
